Name, mobile with the +212 code, email and city. Age and driving licence are commonly listed here.
Two lines in French on your specialism and goal. Link it to the role you are targeting.
Diploma name with its Bac+ level, the institution (university, ENCG, ENSA, engineering school...) and year. This section carries real weight in Morocco.
Your final-year project internship (PFE) and other placements with company, duration and tasks. For graduates this is often the strongest section.
Most recent first, with concrete results. State city and dates clearly.
Arabic, French, English and any others such as Spanish, with honest levels. Critical for offshoring and call-centre roles.
Tools you genuinely use, such as Excel, SAP, Sage or programming languages.
What to leave off
- Your national ID (CIN) number — Not needed on the CV; provide it later if formally requested.
- Full street address — City and neighbourhood are enough.
- French spelling mistakes — Moroccan recruiters notice them quickly.
- Mixing French and English in one CV — Pick one language per version.
- An informal photo — Photos are common, so they need to look professional.
ATS and CVs in Morocco
In Morocco, large offshoring and call-centre operators in Casablanca, Rabat, Fes and Tangier, along with banks, insurers and multinationals, receive high volumes of applications, so many of them use a recruitment portal or an ATS. Mid-sized and family firms usually read CVs by hand, but a clean structure helps either way.
- Use a single-column template; the Photo template adds a picture without breaking readability.
- Use standard French headings: Formation, Expérience professionnelle, Compétences, Langues.
- Write the full diploma name with its level (e.g. Master en Finance – Bac+5) so level filters pick it up.
- Mirror keywords from the ad when they genuinely match your skills.
- Send a PDF with a clear file name such as CV_Nom_Prenom.pdf.
- Check your CV with the CV checker before applying.

Applying for jobs in Morocco
Common places to look for work in Morocco:
- Rekrute: one of the best-known job boards for office, management and technical roles.
- Emploi.ma: a well-known site with listings across many sectors.
- LinkedIn: important for multinationals, engineers and managers.
- ANAPEC: the national employment agency, useful for graduates and integration programmes.
Offshoring (call centres, IT services and BPO) is a major employer of graduates with strong French, and a language test before the interview is common. Schools such as ENCG, ENSA and engineering schools run alumni networks and recruitment days that help. Recruiters commonly ask for copies of diplomas early, and some ask for transcripts or a language certificate too, so keep scans ready. Notice periods and contract types vary by employer, so ask clearly. Foreign nationals generally need a work authorisation arranged with the employer through official procedures; check government sources. If you are also considering France, compare with our France guide.
CV language
French is the most common CV language in Morocco across the private sector, banking and industry. Some public-sector bodies may expect an Arabic file, while multinationals and offshoring centres serving English-speaking clients may ask for an English CV; some also recruit for Spanish. Darija is not used on CVs.
Our builder outputs French or English, and it is preset to French for Morocco. You can type in Arabic and it translates; review the wording afterwards. For an Arabic copy, use the CV translator.
CV or resume?
Moroccans say CV; "resume" is rarely used outside American companies. The Moroccan CV follows the French model: Education (Formation) comes early and matters, internships (Stages) get their own section, and a photo is common. For a US or international employer applying in English, drop the photo and age and keep it shorter, as in our CV examples. Either way, the document itself is still simply called a CV.
Cover letters in Morocco
A cover letter (lettre de motivation) is widely expected in Morocco, especially for internship applications, graduate roles and unsolicited applications (candidature spontanée). Keep it to one page in formal French: why this company, what you bring, and a request for an interview. When applying by email, keep the email itself short and polite. Our cover letter generator writes in English or Arabic, so treat it as a draft and translate and review it if you need French.
FAQ
Should my Moroccan CV be in French or Arabic?
French for most private-sector jobs. Arabic may be requested for some public-sector roles, and English for international firms and some offshoring centres.

Yes, photos are very common and expected by many local employers. Keep it formal with a plain background; for US companies, leave it out.
